"As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live." ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
In this weeks episode Joey and Jason welcome back Nova Wightman, owner of Go Within Life coaching, to the show. Auspiciously on the day of the launch of her new book ‘Awake and Aligned – how to navigate the human experience as a spiritual being’.
After Joey compliments Jason on his tan, the trio waste no time in delving into the aspects of Nova’s life that inspired her to write her book. And how that collage of ideas became a compulsion to create and provoke change
The discussion turns to the importance of mindset when encountering a new concept. And how different states of mind can leave you more open or closed to divergent ideas. Also they talk on the value of Nova’s ability to approach old concepts differently, and inject them with new enthusiasm and perspective, to create openness within the reader.
A Large focus of the analysis in this episode is about balancing chasing goals with play and rest. How an overcommitment to work all the time can have a detrimental effect on your overall productiveness, and how sometimes chasing just the opposite can lead to the results that you are perusing. Joey, Jason and Nova then consider how concepts of enthusiasm and negativity can become more of a choice, as you raise your consciousness level to a place above conflict, by embracing it.
Then after touching on stoicism briefly, the group proceed to refine the ideas contained within the book. They discuss the idea that firstly it can help you get into the ‘zone’ of openness and enthusiasm (no matter the context) more often. Secondly, and maybe more importantly, it can help you get back into it when you inevitably fall out of your optimal mindset.
”I cannot explain the amazing results I have seen in my life after working with Nova for just a few short months. I have spent many thousands of dollars on self-help, therapists, coaches, programs etc but this has been by far the best investment I have ever made. I have always known that my life is an “inside” job, and that what you think and believe creates your reality. But no one ever gave me the “formula” for how to actually do this before. I finally understand what it means to let go of my story and experience the freedom that comes from that. I never could have done it without Nova’s loving support, wisdom and total faith in me.” ~ Pamela Vandervoort, The Dating for True Love Expert www.datingfortruelove.com
